Afrobeats singer, Skales links up with 1da Banton for "Say You Bad" Remix + Music Video

From having millions of streams, to colossal collaborations with industry giants including Wizkid, Davido, Burnaboy, Akon, and many more, Nigerian serial hitmaker Skales has ascended into superstardom at an otherworldly pace. After an already-hugely successful start of 2022 and hot off the back of the release of his Sweet Distractions album, he unveils “Say You Bad” remix alongside a music video featuring rising afro-dancehall artist 1da Banton.

With an immediate hip-shaking upbeat that rotates around synth chords and machine-altered altos, “Say You Bad” is set to take over the summer festival season. Featuring lewd lyrics which instruct “Abena” to “bo pata” or “remove her pants,” Skales' appeal to the clubs and drinking tables is solidified.

1da Banton on the other hand showcases his unmistakable touch and seamlessly flexes his lyrical prowess that gives the overall tune a very enticing bashment vibe.

Speaking on the release, Skales states: “This song expresses how endowed and amazingly beautiful our African women are.”

“Say You Bad” is taken from Skales’ Sweet Distractions album released earlier this year. Skales, still standing as one of Africa’s music heavyweights, impresses again with the remix of “Say You Bad”

Praised for his ability to seamlessly impress as a singer and met out witty punchlines, Nigerian international Afro-dance artiste, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng known professionally as Skales stands as one of Africa’s most treasured music heavyweights.

The multiple award winner made his big break in 2014 with his solo pop anthem, Shake Body, and has since been on an impressive streak. With three full-length projects to his name, Skales is revered as one of Africa’s most travelled pop stars who has offered joy through live performances in countries like; India, Dubai, Lebanon, Oman, Mayotte, London, USA, Zambia, and more.
