There are more ways to learn about new music than ever before. Traditional methods such as radio, billboards, record stores, and word of mouth are still in use, and they've been joined by new innovations such as TikTok and playlists.
Meanwhile, technology has made it easier than ever to create and distribute music, with over 60,000 albums being uploaded to Spotify every day. As a result, it's a little intimidating to be a music fan right now, but anyone with enough patience to go digging will be rewarded with a plethora of incredible new albums, especially if they look in the right places.
That's where we come in. As we approach the halfway of the year 2022, the Prazzle Raves team gathered to sift through all of the year's new music and compile a list of our favorite albums so far.
These are the albums we keep coming back to, and they represent the best of what the music world has to offer, from underground artists to A-list superstars.

Anitta, 'Versions of Me’

Versions of Me is Brazilian singer Anitta's fifth studio album and second trilingual album, released on April 12, 2022 by Warner Records. Ryan Tedder oversaw the album's production. The album was preceded by the singles "Me Gusta," "Girl From Rio," "Faking Love," "Envolver," and "Boys Don't Cry."
Aṣa, 'V'

Back in December 2021, the Jailer singer revealed to on the Black Box Interview that she planned to name her new album V and that it would be released in early 2022.
Taking to Twitter, Asa announced the release date for V as February 25th and shared the album tracklist.
Top Nigerian acts such as Grammy winner Wizkid, Nigerian highlife duo The Cavemen, and Ghanaian artist Amaarae make appearances on the 10-track album.
Gifted by koffee

Koffee combines traditional reggae with modern flourishes and hip-hop sensibilities on Gifted, reminding us that rap's roots are deeply entwined with Jamaican music. The artists featured on the album are Lil Durk, Capella Grey, Fivio Foreign, Lil Wayne, Yung Bleu, Lil Baby, Wizkid, H.E.R., Bryson Tiller, Ella Mai, EST Gee, Jack Harlow, Blxst and Tory Lanez.
