For The Ones Who Came Before Us - An Editorial by Dan Carter Explores the Concept of Inheritance

In honour of The Ones Who Came Before Us, this series is the beginning of photographer, Dan Carter’s journey of discovering inheritance. In South Africa, many suffered and continue to suffer from having their land stolen.
In an attempt to channel this frustration Dan Carter began to ask the question “if land is not inherited, what part of our culture, history and identity are we able to inherit?”
